Flatpack Traxx presents a long awaited EP from one of Canada’s promising duo’s, the Sceneheadz. The Bump N Thump EP showcases exactly what you would expect from Toronto’s finest Straight up No non-sense, bumpin' House music. Backed with a remix from Glasgow’s Craig Hamilton.
"Beyond Anearobic” kicks off the EP, catchy key stabs, skippy drums, percussive grooves & a phat bumpin’ bassline keep the groove going & ensure this one fills any floor in true Sceneheadz style. This is the standout track for the end of summer vibe.
“Beats That Thump” follows in a similar vein, Quirky rhythms, acidy grooves layered with choppy hip hop vocals & a nice funky breakdown although keeping a dark techy feel to it. Perfect peak time material.
“Shake” continues the peak time feel to this strong EP, a driving bassline blends well over solid key stabs, well programmed Rhodes keys & female vocals. Exactly what you would expect from this Toronto based duo.
Glasgow’s Craig Hamilton is up on remix duties & turns in a nice deep rendition of “Shake”, keeping the female vocals & certain jazzy phrases from the original adding his own take on things by reworking this into nice builder. Perfect for early sets but still guaranteed to keep the club shaking.
